Grants to Voluntary Environment, Sustainability and Heritage Organisations (GVESHO)

Please note: the 2013-14 funding round was the last for the GVESHO program and there will be no further funding available.

The Federal Department of the Environment's Grants to Voluntary Environment, Sustainability and Heritage Organisations (GVESHO) program provides funds to help eligible community–based, not-for-profit organisations to value, conserve and protect Australia's natural environment and historic heritage and to promote sustainability by assisting with their administrative costs. Grants provided through the program may be used to assist with salaries and salary on-costs for executive and administrative staff; office accommodation rental; electricity, gas, phone and other similar charges; essential office supplies and equipment; staff and volunteer training; photocopying and printing costs; and travel costs incurred on behalf of the organisation. The GVESHO grant round closes in June each year.
