Tools of the Trade: The Village Blacksmith

Thursday 26 May & Friday 27 May, 12-4pm. Saturday 28 May & Sunday 29 May, 1-4pm.

A display of engineering tools goes back to the 1870s, Blacksmith demonstrations and tours take you through three rooms of equipment as you step back in time in this historic and popular blacksmith shop in the main street of Angaston.  Children can assist the blacksmith.

The centrepiece is an 1867 Angaston map, displayed for the first time since conservation by Artlab (who will talk about their work at 7pm on 27 May).  See how Angaston looked at that time and learn about its development since.  Discover more about street names, houses and public buildings.
