Artlab is responsible for the ongoing delivery of the conservation program for History SA as well as those for the other State collections including the Art Gallery of South Australia, South Australian Museum, State Library of South Australia, and Carrick Hill.
Artlab offers advice and undertakes treatments on a fee for service basis. Our business includes regional galleries, museums, archives and libraries, private individuals, community organisations, and corporate clientele, for items all over Australia and overseas.
Artlab provides a free community information service that gives you the opportunity to discuss the condition and care of your item however large or small. Please contact reception to make an appointment.
Artlab looks after all aspects of care of heritage items, including technical examination, research, cleaning, repair, design and construction of display systems, and packing items for storage and safe travel.
Artlab assists with the long term care and protection of cultural material before damage occurs. These preventive conservation services address the environment that items are kept in. We can help with minimising risks to collections and preparing for disasters.
