Bay to the Battlefield

From the Bay to the Battlefield, is a First World War commemoration project funded by the Australian Governments ANZAC Centenary Local Grants Program. Visit sites in and around Holdfast Bay, discover large scale imagery, and read the unique stories of the men and woman who served in WW1, and once lived in Holdfast Bay.

Women of the River Country Exhibition

Fridays 7 April, 12 & 26 May, 2 & 30 June 2017 6.30 - 7.30 pm

Step back in time to 1876. Join Butler (Mr Wilkins), Housekeeper (Mrs Galvin) and Cook (Mrs Jenkins) on this special visit to Ayers House. The Master and Lady are out for the evening and staff are ready to show you through the house as they prepare for an upcoming State Dinner. Tours are conducted by candlelight.

The Language of Flowers

A wide selection of floral motif exhibits curated from the Guild museum collection to showcase the variety of forms and symbolic connotations of the various embroided flowers. Alongside the museum objects are museum team members' interpretations of the Language of Flowers.
